About the equipment and materials:-

Each reed is made from carefully selected, high quality cane, gouged to 0.55-0.57mm, tied on with Gutterman thread to a 47mm brass/cork staple, and wired. Throughout the process German precision-made machines are used. The reed is then repeatedly tested and hand finished over a period of a few days to ensure quality and performance.
